How to Nominate

NDAHPERD Honor Award

Top state award that is awarded to an individual who has given a lot to the NDAHPERD organization through time and talents. Can be moved on to the Central District Association of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance if the person has also given time and talents to the CDAAAHPERD organization.

Elementary Teacher of the Year (NASPE)

Awarded to an outstanding teacher of physical education at the elementary level.

Middle School Teacher of the Year (NASPE)

Awarded to an outstanding teacher of physical education at the middle school level.

Secondary Teacher of the Year (NASPE)

Awarded to an outstanding teacher of physical education at the secondary level.

Administrator of the Year

Given to a Principal, Assistant Principal, School Board Member or Superintendent that shows strong support for the growth and development of strong programs in physical education and health.

Health Professional/Educator of the Year (AAHE)

Awarded to an outstanding teacher of health education at the K-12 level/college or university or an outstanding health professional.

Dance Teacher of the Year (NDA)

Awarded to an outstanding K-12 dance educator.

School Athletic Director of the Year (NASPE)

Awarded to an outstanding athletic/activities director.

Pathfinder Award (NAGWS)

Awarded to a female who has championed for girls and women in sports. This could be a coach, an official, a participant of any combination of the above.

Adapted Physical Education Teacher of the Year (AAALF)

Awarded to an outstanding adapted physical education teacher.

College/University Teacher of the Year

Awarded to an outstanding college or university physical education teacher/professor/lecturer.
